GOOD DESIGN also means more profits π₯ If you are implementing a 'Differentiation' strategy, these principles are for you.
Dieter Rams VitsΕ is a LEGEND! Who was responsible for the design of many of Braun's products. Clearly an inspiration for Apple
He wrote these principles.
For us, at Madison Project is a must!
A good design is:
π Innovative. Technological development is always offering new opportunities for original designs. But can never be an end in itself.
π Makes a product useful. A product is bought to be used. It has to satisfy not only functional but also psychological.
β Aesthetic. Only well-executed objects can be beautiful.
π’ Makes a product understandable. It is self-explanatory.
π Unobtrusive. Products fulfilling a purpose are like tools. They are neither decorative objects nor works of art.
β€ Honest. It does not attempt to manipulate the consumer.
β° Is long-lasting. It avoids being fashionable and therefore, never appears antiquated.
π¬ Thorough down to the last detail. Show respect towards the consumer.
π Environmentally friendly. It conserves resources and minimizes physical and visual pollution.
π΄ Minimal. Less is more. Simple as possible but not simpler.
